Beetroot soup



Beetroot soup


For children 9 months old (breastfed)
8 months old (formula fed)


Ingredients:
Knob of butter
1 onion
1 garlic clove
2 carrots
1 parsnip
2 medium size fresh beetroots
Vegetable stock
2 potatoes
Crème fraiche for decoration



1.      Heat the oil in a big pot, then fry chopped onion and garlic.
2.      After few minutes add chopped carrots and parsnip, continue frying.
3.      Wash, peel and chop fresh beetroots. Add them, vegetable stock and boiled water to the pot.
4.      Add chopped potatoes and continue cooking until all the vegetables are soft.
5.      Serve with spoon of crème fraiche.
