YUMMY CRACKED
CHOCOLATE BISCUITS
Ingredients:
225 g of dark chocolate
110 g of butter
2/3 cup of icing sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp of vanilla extract
½ tsp of baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 and 2/3 cup of flour
½ cup of icing sugar for decoration
1. In a small pot
heat up the butter until it becomes a liquid. Take of the heat and add broken
pieces of dark chocolate. Mix it until all chocolate pieces dissolve. Cool it
down.
2. Separate egg
whites from egg yolks. Beat the egg whites until it forms spikes, add the sugar
(slowly spoon by spoon), then egg yolks and vanilla extract. Add the chocolate sauce
from point nr 1 and mix it.
3. Mix the flour
with the salt and the baking powder. Add the chocolate mixture and mix throughout.
Cool down the mixture for a couple of
hours in a fridge or leave it overnight.
4. Take the dough
out of the fridge and using tea spoon scoop the dough out. It will be difficult
as the dough will be hard. Form small balls size of walnut. Cover it in the
icing sugar and place on a baking sheet.
5. Bake for 12
minutes in 165 degrees.
·
The dough before baking must be hard and cold. This will
make the biscuit crack. If you bake 1st part put the rest of the
dough to the fridge.
