Butter shortbread cookies
Ingredients:
500 g flour
250 g butter
200 g sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla sugar
Grated zest and juice of 1 lemon
Pinch of cinnamon
1 egg yolk
1. Combine the
flour, butter flakes with the sugar. Make the depression in the center and tip
in the eggs, vanilla sugar, grated lemon zest, lemon juice and cinnamon.
2. Mix all the
ingredients with a hand then knead the mixture into a smooth dough.
3. Leave the
dough in a cool place for 1h.
4. Preheat the
oven to 200 degrees.
5. Roll out the
dough on a lightly floured surface.
6. Cut out shapes
and place them on baking sheet which have been greased and dusted with flour.
7. Brush the
cookies with egg yolk and bake for approx. 10 minutes until golden brown.
